This important upgrade enhances communication, responsiveness, and support for patient care teams across the facility. The new system is designed to improve workflows and strengthen timely communication during both routine care and urgent situations. A key feature of the upgraded system is the integrated overhead paging function tied to Code Blue activation. When the Code Blue button is pressed, the system will automatically announce “Code Blue” and the location three times overhead, helping alert care teams quickly and clearly. Following the conclusion of a Code Blue event, staff should make an overhead page to announce that the code has ended and the situation is clear.
