WOUND CARE

Most wounds, including minor cuts, scratches, burns and abrasions, heal on their own within a few weeks. Sometimes, though, wounds take longer to heal — or stop healing altogether. This can be due to a number of factors, including infections, blood flow problems, poor nutrition or other underlying health conditions.

When non-healing wounds reach this chronic stage, they usually don’t improve on their own; they require special care.

Mid-Valley Clinic’s Wound Care team is specially trained to care for these chronic, non-healing wounds. The care team performs comprehensive evaluations and implements treatment plans to meet each patient’s individual needs.

Our goal is to heal our patient’s wounds and provide education on effective wound management and prevention.

We treat pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, burns, wound vacs and blood circulation challenges such as diabetes, venous and arterial issues.
