History and Statistics
Mid-Valley Hospital was built and opened in 1963. The hospital was expanded in 1974 and again in 1977. Starting in 1997 through 2002 major renovations and additions were completed including a new roof, a remodel of patient rooms, one new Surgery Suite, two remodeled Surgery Suites, a new Pharmacy, a new Birthing Center, an Imaging Center remodel, a new Physical Therapy, a parking lot expansion and repave, and a remodel of Health Information Management. Additional renovations were completed in 2010 and 2011 giving the hospital a new Emergency Department addition and an expansion of the hospital's Laboratory and Respitory Therapy departments.
There are currently over 200 staff working for Mid-Valley Hospital including 59 courtesy staff, and more than two-dozen active staff with specialties such as: Family Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesia, Orthopedics, Radiology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and OB/GYN.
