WILLIAM WHEELER - Dr. Wheeler grew up in a Navy family and had visited 46 states by the time he was 14. He attended college and medical school at Wake Forest University in North Carolina where he met his wife of 28 years, Patricia. After training in surgery in the United States Navy and completing his service, he practiced in Florida before relocating with his wife and three children to Alamosa, Colorado where he practiced rural surgery for the last 13 years. Dr. Wheeler, his wife, and their 17 year old son Charley are excited to move to Omak where they can enjoy investing themselves in this wonderful community. They all enjoy the outdoors, being part of church activities, and music. Dr. Wheeler may surprise you by coming to work on his motorcycle - but he does wear a helmet! Besides the many areas that the specialty of general surgery encompasses, Dr. Wheeler has particular interests in breast and thyroid problems and care of the trauma patient. Most of all he enjoys practicing in a small community that affords him the time to connect with each and every patient in a caring and personal manner.
